Is a settlement deed superior to a will? if Yes, then in what ways. Is it mandatory to probate an Indian Christian will for a property in Chennai?
Can a settlement deed have life time interest conditions or any other conditions incorporated in it.?

It depends on the situation/ facts and cirumstances of the case whether settlement deed or will is a feasible one. It cannot be said that one is superior than other.

A will property in chennai has to be probated.

Yes, a settlement deed may have lifetime interest conditions. It depends on the settlor's wishes.
