INSULT---To treat with gross insensitivity, insolence, or contemptuous rudeness
ridicule - language or behavior intended to mock or humiliate
discourtesy, disrespect - an expression of lack of respect
Humiliation===The act of humiliating; degradation.The state of being humiliated or disgraced; shame.A humiliating condition or circumstance.

Can I file Case be Built upon on the above mentioned Grounds after 7 Seven years of Separation?

why you were silent from last seven years. A perusal of objects and reasons of the Act shows that it has been enacted for the benefit of individuals and the community as a whole and the general scope of the Act is to further the protection against the indiscrimination, which otherwise has also been guaranteed under the Constitution, but has not been purely addressed by providing civil remedy.â€
I am of the opinion that the intention of the legislature was to give retrospective effect to the enactment and the laws made justly for the benefit of domestic violence victims and the community as a whole must be given retrospective effect.â€
Yes you can file complaint after 7 years of separarion. But you ve to show that during these seven years some illegal act (define in DV Act)has been done by your in laws.
