regarding birth certificate

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 06 April 2016 This query is : Resolved 
sir my d.o.b on 10th certificate is 23-06-98 and on my birth certificate it is written as 23-06-1997. I have passed 10 3 years ago so d.o.b on it can be changed. so i just wanted to know can i apply for a new birth certificate. is it illegal??
