Can anybody please teel me the law to govern:

1. Registration of a website in India by a foreign company.
2. What kind of services we can offer on such website (services like web hosting, rigtone download, games downloading, photos UPLOADING or social networking like orkut or yahoo community).

website registration depends upon Domain name registration and no separate registration is required in case you wish to make it popular in India.

you can offer everything which is permissible under the laws of India

Taxation point of view, you could be taxed in India on the amount paid from India for services abroad. There is recent pronouncement to that effect. Having a Domain registration in India may constitute a Permanent Establishment of the Foreign Company.

Kindly consider this point.
