Rent during the suit period

Sir,

My father has rented his house for the last five years. Now the tenancy period has expired on April 30th 2012.The tenant is not vacating the house. We have decided to file a suit. What is the status of rent during the period of the suit. Will the court ask the tenant to pay the rent during the period the suit is going on. Suppose the legal proceedings take 6 months will the court ask the tenant to pay the entire 6 months rent to the landlord.

you must file a suit within 3 months from the default in amount, same time the court will give favorite order to you with interest.
