I, N. Mishra, working as a legal officer in a private limited company.
Our company has taken on rent a commercial premises admessuring about 2000 sq ft, now they have observed that the entire premises is not required by them and out of 2000 sq. ft. they actually need only 1500 sq. feet. In respect to this, company approached licensor and aked him to reduce the rent amount to which licensor agreed. Now i have to draft addendum to Leave and license in respect to aforesaid but i am confused how to start and what to mention.

Dear Member please help me in drafting addendum to leave and license agreement.

Start with the usual title clause.
Then give reference of the original agreement.
Then reproduce the clauses stating area / rent etc and write the new clause below.

Eg:-
Clause No.3
Area - The total area of premises is 2000 sq ft
Shall now be read as:-
Area - The total area of premises is 1500 sq ft

Sorry to say that readymade drafts are not provided by experts.

In your Original Agr, add a note , that wef 7-4-2012, the rent is reduced to Rs. xxx p.m. with consent of both partie, reducing area from 2000 to 1500. sq ft .
get it on stamp paper and notary.
other conditions unchanged.
ur adv will do needful
