Change caste in school records

Hello, I want to know the procedure to change the wrongly entered caste in my school records. I want to avail the caste benefits for my further studies. Please let me know the various supporting documents i have to produce and the procedure to change the same in school records.

Get the caste certificate issued by the authorities concerned and submit the same as a proof by addressing a letter to the school authorities concerned.

YOU ONLY NEED TO PRODUCE YOUR CASTE CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY COMPETENT AUTHORITY AND AN APPLICATION REQUESTING CHANGE OF YOUR CATEGORY ON THE BASIS OF CERTIFICATE.

Thank u gentleman for the quick reply. I went to the caste certificate issuing authority, they asked for the school TC but caste is mentioned wrong in the TC so the authority is not able to issue the certificate. Now please let me know the procedure to change the same in the TC,for changing that what are the documents i have to furnish.
