Transfer of house property from deceased husband to wife

My friend passed away and his house now needs to be transferred to his wife's name. What are the documents to be submitted to the society?

legal heir certificate , give full details of property, its come ancestral or self earned property

Its self earned property.

The wife has to apply for and obtain a legal heir certificate from the Tehasildar concerned. On the basis of the legal heir certificate, her name can be mutated in the records of the Society.
