Meaning of criminal misc petition & Civil Misc. Petitions & application. When can be filed? Whether it is applicable in state of maharashtra.

In maharashtra those are termed as Civil Misc. application and Crim misc application. The term Misc itself explains that it is a minor or incidental proceeding. The HC has issued guidelines as to what kind of proceedings should be registered as Misc. applications.
