Product purchase/cheque blocking

Please execuse if I have not listed my query in propery category.

Query: I have purchased a water filter form a company. I issued a cheque to a salesman. after repeated request product has been deliver to me but not installed at my place.
in this situation I thaouth of cancelling the order by telling my bank not to clear the cheque.
my question is can I tell my bank not to clear a cheque an insist the company to take away their product?
can product company report a police complaint for not clearing the cheque?

police complaint would most probably not be ,instead a case u/s 138 could be filed against you. Send a notice to Company not to present cheque and take back their un- installed system. After writing to co. you can stop payment of cheque.

If the company is bound to install the product, you need not honour the cheque, before the installation. Send a letter to the company not to present the cheque without installation as per the agreement.
