Binding Rules / Act's on NGO's

We would like to know whether NGO's / Non-profitable organisations doing social services registered under co-operative society act [Chennai based] should follow which Rule / Act for their routines such as "Salary Payment, Leave Rules, Time Management, etc., - is there any particular rules which are to be followed by NGO’s / Non-Profitable Organisations.

First no NGO can be registered under the Co Operative society society Act.

Every institution has to follow all those rules.
