PALNITKAR V.V. (Expert) 16 December 2010
An advocate is not supposed to engage himself in any unlawful activities. About the defence an advocate can take on being caught, it is for the advocate concerned to think whether such a defence should be taken. Of course an accused can take any defence he wants. As regards, impersonation, mere personation would not be enough. There must be some kind of cheating or other illegal act coupled with personation.
