Re : refund of excess stamp duty

(Querist) 20 April 2013 This query is : Resolved 
We have registered documents in last month i.e March 2013. Due to ignorance of one notification ( which are applied from 1st Jan 2013 - Maharashtra) we have paid excess Stamp duty. So my queries are :-
1.Can we apply for refund of stamp duty in Collector office?
2.If yes, then What is the procedure of the same?
3. If not, then on what baise?

Yes you are entitled for refund. Apply in the concerned sub registrar office.
