Regarding chargesheet

Respected sir,

My query is that police has not been filling charge sheet in the court u/s 498a. After passing 6 months, they delayed the chargesheet.

Please guide me and give legal suggestion and what should i do for this.

The matter is vague whether the accused is arrested and if after the arrest of accused the chargesheet is not filed then accused in custody can get bail. Otherwise there is no timebound for filing the chargesheet. Police can file chargesheet after due investigation the police will not be compelled.
