L.e.suit in small cause court, mumbai

In L.E.Suit, filed by brother against me, in Small Cause Court, in Mumbai my brother has asked inspection of my documents, before he gives inspection of his documents; even before he has filed his evidence. Isn't it illogical. It is as if I have prove my innocence (and not that he has to prove his case). This way he will see what documents I have in my possession and make up the lacuna in his case.
I wish to know what is the correct procedure? Should I give inspection first even though he has filed the case?
