No definition of professional director has been given in the Companies Act.Is it necessary that a professional director must hold professional qualificat?

While filing form 32 , in the category of director, it has to be stated, whether a director is a promoter director/independant director or professional director? The definition of professional director has not been given in the Companies act,1956.Can a person, who does not hold any professional qualification nor a member of a professional body be shown as professional director?

Answer: write a letter to Ministry of Law.
