P.f deduction

Whether a retired Government who is reemployed on a fixed honararium would be entitled to P.F deduction.

In my opinion,Statutorily not. However, if both employee and employer agree,only P.F. can be deducted but no pension contribution is to be deducted.

PF shall be deducted on the wages (Pay + DA) only as per the EPF Act 1952. In the present case it is called as honorarium, it may not attract pf deduction.
