Difference Between Surrogate & Representative ?

Representative - One who represents, or stands in the place of, another.

Surrogate - Substitute to put in the place of another, especially as a successor; replace.

So which one is more good while drafting any legal documents.

Representative is the most appropriate word amd the word Surrogate is used in exclusive and restricted sense in legal field
