(Querist) 10 May 2010 This query is : Resolved
Difference between partnership deed and partnership agreement. Because partnership deed is registered in court of law and not the agreement. So which one is more beneficial. Also where it has been stated that the partnership deed should be compulsory or voluntary registered and if partnership agreement is not registered than it will cause no problem or it is registration is not compulsory.

Case laws any pls.

Thankig u all experts in advance.

Whenever any agreement is registered it becomes a 'DEED'. (for example, sale agreement, partnership agreement, etc.,).

As per Partnership Act, Registration is optional.

But, in the interest of business, it is prudent to get it registered. Because, only a registered firm can sue on its' name.

Since this field is vast one, there are several Case laws. Based on querry, it is suggested that if you go through the partnership act (and LLP Act also), that will meet your requirements.
