Pb govt property legal heir notification

(Querist) 23 October 2026 This query is : Resolved
In a civil suit trial court decided ownership of the suit property as Punjab Government property and court also admitted our possession over the suit property for the last 50 years and Honourable court declared my father and my two uncle as Cultivator/kastkar of the suit property and appeal filed by the plaintiff also dismissed.
My father died in the year 2019. Now me and my brother, sister are the legal heir of my father. I and my family being legal heir of my father want to enter there names in the coloumn of cultivator/kastkar in place of my father. Please guide whether legal heir can enter his name as cultivator/kastkar also provide me with latest Punjab government notification or case law in this regard so that I may enter my family member name in revenue record as kastkar/cultivator not owner.

Quick Summary
Following a court ruling that declared your father and uncles as cultivators of Punjab government property, you, as a legal heir, can apply to have your name recorded as a cultivator. You will need to provide the court decree, your father's death certificate, a legal heir certificate, and no-objection certificates from your siblings. This process ensures your name is updated in the revenue records like Khata, Khasra girdawari, and Jamabandi.

Because the court declared your father and uncles cultivators, and your father has died, you can apply as a cultivator, but your family cannot. You must enclose the court decree, your father's death certificate, and the legal heir certificate and no-objection certificate from your siblings for this purpose.

Girdawari of each crop is recorded by revenue Patwari of the village where crop is being grown, by whom i.e., name of cultivator and the particular crop, which is authenticated by Girdawar and Kanoongo of the area.
Accordingly your name(s) shall be recorded in Khata and Khasra girdawari followed by Jamabandi, which you are required to check in revenue records of your village
