To obtain a Legal Heir Certificate in Maharashtra, all legal heirs must jointly apply to the revenue department or jurisdictional Tehsildar. You'll need to submit the deceased's death certificate and identity proof for all applicants. While the cost is minimal, the process typically takes two to three months, though direct applications to the Tehsildar may expedite consideration.

The legal heirs of the deceased have to apply for the legal heirship certificate to the revenue department/jurisdictional tehsildar jointly by enclosing the death certificate, identity card details of every one, directly even through e-service mode. The cost can be inquired from the Revenue department which would be minimal.

You can apply for a legal heirs certificate enclosing the death certificate of the deceased. It will take a minimum time of two to three months. Request the Tahsildar in person and may be considered.
