Rights of the land which we live for more than 90 years

We are living in our ancestral land. My grandfather's father purchased the land on 1923. We have the registered documents for the same. In recent years (Nearly 2 years)the Mosque comity of our town approached and asked the rent for the said land. They claimed that the area was wakf by one trustee on 1944 and we have the Title Deed for the land which was given on 1864. The title deed was given to one trustee name. In 1944 the trustee was wakf some areas mentioned the T.S. Nos and not the Title deed numbers. We go through the title deed and asked them some questions. If it is yours we are ready to pay the rent. If it is not then we never give up our rights. In our registered documents the same title deed number is mentioned. We have the documents from 1923.
Now what is our right in this issue?

where are you from ? best idea you get the details of the your land through RTI from Wakf,same time if you possible to collect old documents from register office, check and verify.

Ask them to provide the details of the instrument by which the land was transferred to Wakf board.

I am from Southern Tamil Nadu State. We already collect all the documents from the Register office. There is no any wakf documents before the year 1923. They only did on 1944. But they show us the Title Deed document which was given on 1864. From 1864 to 1923 there is no document for the said land. Mr. Sheik Mohamed Ali, let me know your ID and your contact number?
