Get the permission from the local Civic Body.
If the apartment is not run by Society then objection of the neighbours would not cause much hindrance.

You cannot convert the whole of your apartment as a commercial office as audit office. Normally one room is allowed by civic bodies to be used as office in office cum residence of professionals, like auditors, doctors, etc.

If you are residing with your family in the said Flat, and using a part of Flat for such professional use, Development control rules define it as residential use of premises. read DCR. [25 Sq mtr max ]

It depends upon the provisions of byelaws of your apartment owners association. You may request the officials of the association to permit you to use a portion of the flat as your office, since you cannot afford to establish a separate office for your livelihood.

I don't know any law preventing you from converting your residence as your office, so long as it is not a social evil.

I don't think you can use it w/o the permission of the society.
