Union is recognised by the employer only. Usually it is the majority union who is recognised.

Does it mean that no ALC / DLC is involved in the said process.

No. Recognition is purely a managerial decision. But there is no difference in rights of registered or unregistered union. Recognition means that management would discuss the issues involving service conditions of workmen with that union but as far as raising a dispute is concerned even unrecognised union has same rights.
