whether educational institute is an industry

whether educational institute affiliated to any university is an industry under Industrial Dispuate Act, 1947. if no, kinldy suggest any case law, if yes then under what provision it is an industry.

It is industry. see the attachment. It is recent calcutta HC judgment.

It has to be carefully noted that while University has been held to be an "industry", the teachers have been held to be 'not workmen'.
