sir
i applied some of the documents from police station under right to information act. the other side is very much influncial preson in the society. i had applied again the same set of copies once again under right to information act from police station, but i received one covering letter from police station that the records are not available due to damage. i asked seven documents, but i received only two from the documents what i asked. sir now how to prove my case without dose documents. they only raised subject to objection before the court. still subject to objection is not fulfiled in the mean while this happend. sir please give the suggestion what legal action i can taken against police. sir if original document is missing then will court considerds the documents which i filed ealier as true copies. is there any citation admisibility of this type of documents when original is missing. and what action i can take against the police.

In case of original missing, copies made thereof shall be treated as secondary evidence as per Indian Evidence Act.
