Society

(Querist) 18 July 2011 This query is : Resolved
I noticed a society mentioning as Promoted by Govt. of India and it is approved by the Parliament as National Development Agency.
It is established by a person not by Govt. but the notices saying the above things are happened in the time of Nehru as the president. What is meant by promoting a society by the govt. instead of undertaking? aren't all voluntary nonprofit societies promoted by govt and the planning commission?

Dear Friend,
It is always open for you to inspect the registration documents of any society at office of the Inspector General of Registration of the relevant state and if required you can obtain a certified copy of the Byelaws as well as incorporation certificate etc.of the society in question to check up veracity of their claim.

Thanks dear friend,
But the question is still in the darkness. I want to know the difference between undertaking and promoting. The society offers many courses computer to paramedical including nursing diploma. Can Indian Parliament make decision or announce to promote a society as a national development agency?
