Electronic Execution of Documents

With reference to the IT Act 2000 and IT Amendment Act 2008, what the are modes (ways) available for electronic execution of documents? Is it necessary to have a digital signature for electronic execution.

Can confirmations on email or acceptance by checking a chekbox on a website saying I agree to the terms & conditions be construed as electronic execution of a document?

Documents transmiited/forwarded with digital signatures affixed thereon,e-mails with date and time stamping therewith are considered as authenticated documents sent through electronic means.Disclaimer certification is obtained to safeguard agaainst any tampering and it cannot be vouched for undertakings or violations.
