While often used interchangeably, 'Agreement to Sell' and 'Agreement for Sale' are essentially the same legal concept. The core idea is a contract outlining the terms under which a seller agrees to sell and a buyer agrees to buy a property. The distinction often lies in how the terms are phrased or the specific context in which they are used, rather than a fundamental legal difference between the two.

Sale is a noun, and sell is a verb. But because their meanings are related, it's easy to get these two words mixed up, as per google guru. Agreement to sell and Agreement for sale are one and the same. Agreement to sell is the correct one.
