Criminal complaint to continue after civil case decided

(Querist) 27 February 2014 This query is : Resolved 
A gets the civil case settled for dues on receiving the decree amount.
After this can criminal complaint u/s 138 of N.I.A. (for the cheque returned for the same amount which was recovered under civil suit) be continued ?

Yes unless he specifically mentions of settlement of all disputes including withdrawal of 138 NI Act case.
