conversion of proprietorship into partnership firm

I am having a proprietor ship firm in Delhi. Now I wish to convert this proprietor ship firm into partnership firm. Is it possible? Should we apply fresh registration under DVAT, Excise and fresh TAN and PAN number for new partnership. Please advise.

Hi,
It is oviously possible to convert propritership into partnership. There is no need to apply fresh DVAT, Excise....., they all are convert. A application for conversion is field in respected department.

I cannot agree. The partnership firm is a separate unit of assessment and therefore you have to apply all the government authorities for making fresh. Conversion or amendment may not be permissible.
