hello all,
my client's father applied a electricity connection, connection was not issued. but on paper it become enerzies in the mean my client's father has right. my query is this-
1. Is my client a consumer.

2. how he can get a connection and supply of electricity in his name.
3.can he claim against the electric department for not giving the connection.

he wiil apply to the electricity office and also file a complaint to the dept. about false energise d connection.
yes he can file a consumer case.

you father is consumer he can file complaint in consumer court hor connection and also for compensation.

in the consumer forum you can seek the following reliefs
1) directing the authority to give power connection
2) compensation
3) loss if any
4) for causing agony, mentall stress
5) costs etc.,

Consumer means any person who-

Buys any good for a consideration which has been paid or promised or partly paid and partly promised, or under any system or deferred payment and includes any user of such goods other than the person who buys such goods for consideration -paid or promised or partly paid and partly promised, or under any system or deferred payment when such use is made with the approval of such person, but does not include a person who obtain such goods for resale or for any commercial purpose;
or

Hires or avails of any service for a consideration which has been paid or promised or partly paid and partly promised, or under any system or deferred payment and includes any beneficiary of such services other than the person who hires or avails of the service for a consideration which has been paid or promised or partly paid and partly promised, or under any system or deferred payment, when such services are availed of with the approval of the first mentioned person;
