Can we get copy of Model by laws for Apex as mentioned above on email?. Whether Apex body can add directors or change some by laws suitable for the society by resolution? As there are too many functions for maintenance of apex for 6 towers & 1000+ flats & only 6 directors who have to maintain common facilities & 9 amenities & sports mini grounds.

As per section 2(13), of Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 ”Federal society”, means a society-

(a) not less than five members of which are themselves societies, and

(b) in which the voting rights are so regulated that the members who are societies have not less than four-fifths of the total number of votes in the general meeting of such society.

As per section 2(16),”Housing society” means a society, the object of which is to provide its members with open plots for housing, dwelling houses or flats; or if open plots, the dwelling houses or flats are already acquired, to provide its members common amenities and services.

How many max directors can be elected for Apex society of 6 towers premises? What is max no of directors are permitted in apex society?
Dy Reg. has opined/advised that there can be max 15 members/directors in apex. is it correct.
2) Whether Apex members/directors must be from MC of 6 tower societies & not from ordinary flat owner?
3) Whether Apex committee has to get approval for repairs above Rs 1 lac from Tower committees? similarly what's limit for capital expenditure on equipments beyond which approval of TOWER MC should be obtained? Or Apex can incur the expenditure by its own approval?
4) Whether min 3 quotations are required for buying equipments ? what is threshold amount for investment for which sealed tenders are necessary?
5) Whether only APEX members/directors can attend AGM? Tower societies have objection to this & they should have been invited in AGM.
