Membership is not for the States; but for the one Bar Council for one or more states. Eg., It is Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Pndicherry.

What is the need for enrolment with the Bar Council of two different States. With the recent Notification issued by the Government of India enforcing S.30 of the Advocates Act, an Advocate enrolled in the Bar Council of any one State can practice in any Court/Tribunal in any part of India. Therefore, the author of this query may kindly enlighten if he has any specific reason or purpose for such enrolment in different State Bar Councils.
