Bar Council Exam

(Querist) 18 October 2010 This query is : Resolved

Guidance

I have completed my LLB (3 yr course) in Feb 2006.(Nov 2005 exam)

I have taken up job since then.

Now I am planning to take up sanath.

I have not registered myself so far in the bar council

I only have the convocation certificate from the Mumbai University.

Please tell me do I need to appear the all india bar exam for sanath.

What will be the procedure applicable to me

Thanks a lot

All India Bar Exam is compulsory only for those Law graduates who graduated from the academic year 2009-2010 onwards. Since you had completed your LLB in 2006 itself, you need not take the AIBE.
You have to approach the State Bar Council and submit your form along with requisite documents, to get yourself enrolled as an Advocate.
