Assault and abuse

i am aged 61 working in a family business.My daughter and all my brothers also working in the company.One of my brother aged 46 assaulted and abused me in the presense of office staff and my daughter on an official matter inside the office premises..I immediately i reported to the management.Can I do the following in order to give proper lesson to the brother who assaulted me.

1.Can i prefer a police complaint irrespective of the outcome of my complaint
2.Can i send notice for damage suit

Being very timid and aged person i feel very much humilation, kindly advice me in order to convince myself and my family members.

yes you can file police complaint against your brother for criminal intimidation .

you can also issue legal notice to your brother and file suit for damages .

however it is in your interest to resolve family disputes with in the flour walls without going to cops or moving court in this regard

1. Yes you should lodge immediate complaint in local P.S.
2.Yes, you can file civil suit for damages also.
Take help of an advocate.
