Appointment/reappointment of the statutory auditors

Is it necessary to mention registration number of the firm in the Annual Report as well as Resolutions of the Board Meetings while recommending appointment/ reappointment of the Statutory Auditors?

There is no such requirement as per law though it is advisable for the purpose of identification of the firm.
