You have to show in the return what has been sold within the State. As for the sales effected by your Orissa branch, you have to show the same in your VAT return submitted to Orissa VAT authorities.

There are two terms under the VAT Act. One is "Gross Turnover" and it includes all kinds of sale and also includes the value fo goods exported out of the State or disposed of otherwise than by sale". The other term is "taxable turnover" which represents that part of the gross turnover which left after making deductions therefrom. As a dealer, one is disclose Gross Turnover in the Returns and then claim deductions including branch transfer.
