This query is : Resolved
If some document which was issued by the government official, has already been marked as exhibit in the court and both the parties are not objecting on the veracity of that document, then is it necessary to call the government official in such situation to prove that the document was issued by it. Whether court could do so?

There is no need to summon the Government official in all cases to give evidence inrespect of the document issued by them unless and until the same is disputed or any explanation is required by the Court.
Note that the Court has powers to summon any person for getting assistance to meet the ends of Justice and find out the truth.

There is no requirement to do so as the contents shall be taken into consideration as the document is already exhibited but if something personal is to be enquire then the preperator of such document can definitely be summonned.

If the document has not been disputed or objected, the author of the document or the government official need not be summoned to prove the same. No authority is required for this, it is simple logic.
