What is your problem.

A purchaser of property has to look for the rights of all the persons in the particular property and take no objection from them.

Succession Certificate is granted only for Movable properties. In this case, the question of production of Succession Certificate does not arise. Check the line of Succession according to the Personal law of the deceased. U have to obtain the consent of all heirs in the same line of Succession to buy the property.

Note:- To add to my reply, please note that every Indian is guided by his/her Personal law according to the religion to which he/she belongs. The laws differ widely. Act accordingly.

A purchaser has no right to seek any succession certificate or any document. He is at liberty to ask for documents pertaining to title of the property. It cannot be called a right. If he is satisfied with the bonafide of ownership of the land and make enquiries with concerned persons or authorities to ensure title.

If satisfied you may purchase otherwise not.
