Sale of property

(Querist) 20 September 2012 This query is : Resolved 
Sir we have sale a property to one party.
that party has paid tocken rs 51000/- the deal is fixed for 18,75,000/-
and remaining amount is decided to give after two month in part
Now Today he was going to give party payment and now he is asking that photo copy of documents of our shop.
So should i give the photo copy or not ?
What is the Rule for this sir
Please do reply, It's urgent

You can surely give photo copy of tile deed of your shop. There is no harm in it.
Before making full payment he has every right to check title of your shop.

Ya but he is look like fraud person so we are afraid of giving any photo copy.
And we don't have any cctv also at our home

Do not sell him then if you are so fearful.
You are giving him photocopy not original.

Sir he is giving part payment not full so after he give full payment we are ready to give all the documents to him,

only a fool will give you full payment without satisfying him self about your title to the property . purchaser can ask for inspection of documents . satisfy himself that you have not mortgaged property to any one else . in addition he is entitled to xerox copies as he may desire to consult a lawyer .

if you dont want to go ahead return the token money and cancel the deal if possible

Today he came and as per mutual consideration between My dad and that purchaser party he has to give 10 lakh rupees but he came with only 425000 only and started giving reason that his mom was not well and all.
After that he told that his lawyer wants the photo copy to make the agreement, and he wanted to sell our property to other party.
