Rights of grandson in grand father's self acquired property?

A has died before Hindu succession act came into force leaving his self acquired property and three sons and a daughter. Can a grandson restrain his father as to alien the property??

No he can't according to sec 8 Hindu succession act.

This query was also appearing against the name of Mr. Ravikant Soni, Advocate. The same was already answered.
The grandson will be able to stop his father from selling the inherited property, since it is an 'ancestral property' having been inherited from the father prior to coming into being of HSA 1956.

Yes. Grandson can get injunction to restrain his father. Mr. Ramchandran has rightly answered that the nature of the property becomes as ancestral property even as per customary Hindu Law.
