Refund of PF Contribution

(Querist) 09 April 2011 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

My name is Abhishek Makwana. I was working with one of the PSU banks, where there was a deduction from my salary towards PF contribution. I have resigned from my service and its being two months now, but I have not received my PF contribution yet.
I talked to the person concerned at the bank I worked - he told me that you have to tell us where you are employed now and we will transfer the PF amount to your new account with new employer.
But I am not yet employed and wish to get my money back, also, I do not want to wait till I get new employment.

Please advice me how to get the refund of my PF contribution as soon as possible.

Regards,
Abhishek Makwana

First issue letter to the bank authorities to settle the PF amount and also send the copy to the PF authorities. It is better to meet PF authorities to make an enquiry regarding withdrawal of PF amount

Write a letter to your last employer and mention in your letter that you want to settle your pf account and want to withdraw the pf amount. If you dont want to continue your account, they are bound to settle your account and refund your pf contribution amount to your account.

You did not mention the period you had worked with the previous employer. You resigned only 2 months back. It may take some more time to process the refund the PF. If you insist for refund of your PF and if your duration of previous employment was short, they may only refund your contribution of PF, thereby loosing bank's contribution of PF portion. If you get an employment soon in a bank or public organisation, the bank can transfer, to that organisation your contribution and also bank's contribution of PF for credit to your PF a/c.

Meet you previous employer and told them that you want to close to PF and want to withdraw you fund instead of transferring fund in to new account but if you have worked less than the stipulated period fixed for that than it is some how difficulties to get you money back.
You just Download Pf withdrawal from and apply for the withdrawal generally you will get you money back within 45 days from the date of Application .

Dear Abhishek,

You can withdraw your PF Fund which includes Contribution of emploee and employer. The PF contribution goes to 2 a/c, 1. PF Scheme and 2. Pension Scheme. If you have worked for less than 6 months, your and employers contribution to pension shceme will not be refunded and PF schmee contribution will be refunded to you.

Ask the pervious organization that you want to fill the withdrawal forms for PF and pension scheme, i.e. For 10C and Form 19.

Your pervious organization will process the forms to PF Regional office alongwith with your 3A statement. Else you also can submit the form to Regional PF office (where your organization is registered)with Form 10C, Form 19 and 3A statement. You will get 3A statement from your previous organization.

And you will have to submit a cancelled cheque of your a/c in which you want the money to be deposited. You will get your money in 3-4 months time.

Revert if any further query.

Regards,

Pushpa
