Dear Anonymous,
Being a Lawyer yourself I did not expect this sort of a question from you.
After all, you will either agree to the conditions imposed by your client (the person/law firm retaining you) or do not agree. If you agree, then you cannot complain. If you do not agree, then you would not get your retainer fee. THAT IS ALL. NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS. BAR COUNCIL WILL NOT COME INTO PICTURE AT ALL.

Thanks Sir,

Actually, Initially I had agreed on all terms but now the things seem to be more worst as the work assigned to me is been taken away and only minimal work is assigned. I am suppose to visit the client everyday and the normal HR rules for the employee are being applied on me. I raised my voice disagrring the issues but its of no use. I thought of ending my contract but the senior management has promised me to resolve. I am a fresher so actually and rather honestly do not know all rules relating to retainer as my contract is very basic.

If you are not interested in the assignment quit.
