I want to break this agreement

(Querist) 02 September 2008 This query is : Resolved 
I have signed the agreement stating that i will join the company on 15 Sep 2008. But I dont want to join that company as my current company giving me vary good salary package.

Please suggest me.

You shall be bound by the agreement but since they can not compell to do job under you, you shall be liable to damages if they go to court,.

As Manish Singh rightly said, you are bound by the agreement. They may not force you to join, but seek damages for breach of the agreement.

An agreement is an instrument which contains conditions to protect the interest of both the parties. if you failed to comply according to the agreement there will be some conditions what to do next by you and the company. As all the experts opinied the contents are important and meterial not your grievence and needed an arbitrory remedy.

yes they can not force u to do the job but they can claim damages against you,
But a perfect legal reply can only be given when u will provide the detailed contents of the agreement.
