Selection under ex-servicemen catagory what is the definition of ex-servicemen and whether a person who has not been discharged from the service can be considered ex-servicemen when he participated the selection process after obtaining N.O.C from the authority in which he is serving

The person who have served the defence force for 6 month or more than a 6 month and discharged from the services after completion of his regular service is called ex-servicemen. He can avail the category of being ex-servicemen though he has left with a one year service for retirement from the defence service by taking NOC from his Unit Commanding Officer.
