Authorization

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 31 October 2011 This query is : Resolved
Dear all, I would like to know that whether it is advisable to give a authority letter for an advocate on his letter head to some agent to carry out miscellaneuos work on his behalf for example going to the Ministry for some document attestation , registration information etc... And if it is so then what should be mentioned in that letter or any proper format for it...

Authority letter can be given to an advocate. But PA is better I think so.

Don't use letter pad of your advocate to delegate your authority. That will also not be in the interest of the advocate as that can be treated by the concerned Government offices, as a fake and fabricated authorisation.

Better give notorised authority letter for specific jobs for specific period for dealing with specific Ministries/authorities/offices, instead of any general authority for any indefinite period.

In case of company, certified copy of resolution is sufficient.

You can authorize for some matters just like that on plain paper.

For some matters your require to give PoA.
