Dear Sir,
If the Company policy states that an employee is eligible for Privilege Leaves (Annual leaves)only after completion of 1 year of sercvice, then should the PL encashment be considered for the F&F on pro rata basis if the employee leaves before completion of a year's service. Is it manadatory for the company to provile PL encashment in the F&F if the employee has not completed one year of service?

No. It is not necessary.

In your query itself you say employee is eligible for PL only after completion of 1 year of service. So it cannot be provided on pro rata basis if the employee has not completed the minimum 1 year of service.

Thank you both for your prompt response. So in continuation to my above query, this would mean that it is not compulsory for the company to also adjust the pro rata PL's against the notice period if an employee quits within a year of service.
