If A with intention to kill B gave him a water mix sugar knowing that poison ,what offence A committs.

A has committed attempt to murder as intensions of A is clear to kill and knowing sugar as poison and also he gave it to B. all the ingredients of murder are fullfilled, hence the attempt is made and A is committed to attempt to murder.
