dear sir, is there any difference between letter of indemnity and indemnity bond and indemnity agreement.
whether the stamp duty applicable on indemnity letter would be equal to stamp on agreement or otherwise. regards- SK Tripathi

1. Lawfully there is NO such document called as "letter of indemnity" and/or a "indemnity agreement" and the Courts do not recognize such things.
2. What is legally valid is a Duly Stamp Duty Paid Registered OR Notarized "Indemnity BOND". The Stamp Duty, in Maharashtra State is Rs. 500/- per individual for the "Indemnity BOND".
